Overview

Microfinance Lebanon (MFL) was initiated by Sustainable Community Development Network (SCDN), a Lebanese NGO, and is jointly implemented in collaboration with BLOM Bank.

MFL mission is to empower, inspire, educate and encourage Lebanese Entrepreneurs and Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on the importance of Financial Inclusion, Independence and Security with focus on Women, Youth and the Environment.

MFL goal is to create and sustain Lebanese Jobs, generate Profitable Revenues, energize Local Economies and promote Growth by providing specialized Financial Services including Small Business Loans and Professional and Technical Support and Training.

How It Works

By applying you and/or your organization enter a rigorous and credibility-driven selection process that includes eligibility screening, beneficiary registration, business and financial information, site visits, small business loan and life insurance applications, savings account opening, monthly on-time repayment schedules and semi-annual impact reporting.

The process is online and mainly in English and for eligible applicants takes 3 to 4 weeks to be completed.

Eligibility Criteria

Lebanese Entrepreneur and/or Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) under 15 Lebanese employees and/or under USD 1 million annual turnover.
Applicant | Beneficiary must be Lebanese 21 to 60 years old and must submit his personal ID and Clean Criminal Record.
Business owner must be residing and operating in/or from Lebanon.
Business compliance including environmental compliance.
Applicant Beneficiary must be able to provide and complete the required supporting documents in a timely manner and must demonstrate ethical and transparent practices.
Applicant | Beneficiary agrees to all Terms and Conditions of Sustainable Community Development Network, Microfinance Lebanon, BLOM Bank, AROPE Insurance and other partners.
